Luke Wells, son of England and Sussex cricketer Allan, helped St Bede's to victory at a prestigious countywide schools tournament.
Versatile Wells, who reached a county cricket final this year, and his team-mates secured Saints' fourth triumph in the Lancing College Six-a Side under-11s tournament which involved 18 prep schools and 110 players.
The Eastbourne school, who last won in 1997, dominated throughout, scoring 13 goals in seven games, conceding only one.
Manager Steve Eason said: "We are delighted with the team. James Norwood, who is with Albion, and Rory Flavell played well while Luke is an impressive winger. It was a little World Cup for them."
St Bede's made a round tip of around 50 miles to beat neighbours and holders St Andrew's 2-1 in the final thanks to two goals by Norwood.
St Bede's defeated Broadwater Manor 2-0 in the semi-finals while St Andrew's pipped Cottesmore (Pease Pottage) 1-0.
Tavistock and Summerhill (Haywards Heath) defeated Prebendal (Chichester) 5-0 in the plate final.
Meanwhile, Vincenzo Cacioppo, ten, scored the extra-time winner as Broadwater Manor pipped Penthorpe (Rudgwick) 1-0 in the final of their prep school six-a-side tournament in Worthing.
Manor deputy head Bas Brown said: "Vincenzo is on Chelsea's books and is our own Gianfranco Zola. He is fairly small, skilful and quick."
The hosts overcame Newlands (Seaford) 3-0 and Penthorpe beat Sompting Abbotts 4-0 in the semi-finals.
Sussex will play their second round FA County Youth Cup tie against Oxfordshire at Lancing on November 3.
Carly Esposito, 18, scored as Albion Ladies suffered a 2-1 National Reserves (South) Cup defeat against Manchester City.
Her side remain top of the league thanks to a 5-1 victory over Ipswich. Lancing College, captained by English Public Schools' squad goalkeeper Jame Butcher, have won five and drawn one of their opening six friendlies. Brighton, Hove and Sussex Sixth Form College striker Lee Newman netted a double in a 4-2 Sussex Schools' Under-19s Cup win over William Parker (Hastings), with Grant Bean also netting twice.
Newman grabbed one, with Vinnie Periera, Baz Allen and Shaheen Sadough on target, in a 4-2 British Colleges Academy League victory over East Berkshire at Shoreham.
