It is hard to ignore how many times road accidents are reported in the Press.

Sometimes they seem quite trivial but others can be, and are, fatal.

It is not surprising. Having today taken possession of a new car, some maniac tearing down Drove Crescent within three hours of my ownership has completely taken off the offside mirror.

I hope the idiot responsible has damaged his own car in the process and wraps himself around a lamp-post soon.

It will be one less statistic to cause further, unnecessary accidents.
