A motorist involved in a car crash which a Sussex couple died and a five-year-old boy survived has been fined £300 at Brighton Magistrates Court.
Alun Davies, 25, of Watford, admitted a charge of careless driving.
He was banned from the wheel for 12 months and ordered to pay £35 costs.
Tony Pickett, 38, and Lucy Hampshire, 31, of Rowlands Road, Worthing, died when their car was involved in a collision with a car driven by Davies in Ditchling Road, Brighton, on March 2.
Davies, who was driving a company car, suffered a broken collarbone.
Mr Pickett's son, Joshua, was rescued from the wreckage by a passing motorist.
Joshua had crawled from the car after hearing his father say: "I don't want to die. I still love you, Joshua."
Joshua and his father had been travelling from Brighton to Worthing in a Peugeot driven by Lucy, his father's girlfriend.
Mr Pickett, an Arsenal fan, had just picked up tickets for a forthcoming match from a colleague in Brighton.
As the Peugeot headed north along Ditchling Road, it was in collision with the blue Ford Escort driven by Mr Davies.
