You guide the team's playing style and set the training schedule as well as making investment for ground refurbishment or new players.

Play is satisfyingly tight and mimics the tension of a real match. A welcome addition to the 2002 version is the input you can now give when the side takes to the pitch. With the press of a key you can shout instructions to your team to help them win.

This is a brilliant game, not just for football fans but as a business training tool, given the strategy and financial planning involved.

A few more weeks and I will have the Albion at the top of the Premiership, mirroring their success on pitch on my computer screen.
