Streets clear of rubbish, three piers (all different and all with live shows), miles of sandy beaches (plus donkeys), ample car parking with reasonable charges, police on the streets, a car-free shopping centre, buses along the seafront as well as trams and, of course, illuminations and the pleasure beach.

Finally, but most importantly, a bus station which is customer-friendly and - wait for it - a new football stadium under construction. Yes, their own football ground.
