The Seagulls set out to avenge a 2-1 defeat by the Welsh side and came close to taking the lead when captain Siobhan Melia found Katie Hodges who crossed for Natalie Birch to have an effort saved.
Kerry Dawkins had a powerful header cleared off the line.
Barry had a similar opportunity and Emma Mead headed clear. Within minutes of the re-start, Barry went ahead. Brighton goalkeeper Tracey Smith left the area to clear but the ball was punted back and Helen Jones fired into the net.
Albion equalised 14 minutes later when Hodges headed in from a right-wing cross by Mead. Barry counter attacked and a fine shot by Ayshea Martyn skimmed the bar. Brighton deserved to break the deadlock when a brilliant run by Mead from halfway ended as she passed to Naomi Poletyllo whose shot cannoned off a defender for a corner.

Sophie Perry and Ria Rottner scored hat-tricks and Kayleigh Norris and Christie Read got one apiece.

After the break the home team went on to score five more goals, including one from Jasmin Chapman, who switched from playing in goal to outfield. Winnard put away two more goals to get herself a hat trick.
Hastings Town overcame the Isle of Wright Ladies 8-0 away to make it nine points from a possible 12. Brand got her second on 30 minutes and she completed a hat-trick before half-time from a Jo Templeman free-kick. Abbie Downey added the fifth from Nicky Wright's corner. Brand got her fourth on the hour as she beat the offside trap and Tanya Roberts made it 7-0. Brand finished the rout with ten minutes to go for a win which lifted Town to third.
