MONDAY: Micky Adams calls on his players to bounce back from their first Withdean League defeat since New Year's Day against Brentford.
"We've had a great start," he says. "We have lost a game at home and we are disappointed with that, but we have got to pick ourselves up, dust ourselves down and look forward to the Huddersfield game.
"I've said this month will probably be a big test for us. They are all big games."
Albion submit two planning applications for their new stadium at Falmer, for both Village Way North and South.
TUESDAY: Adams picks up his Nationwide Second Division manager of the month award for September at a lunch in Hove.
A recurrence of ankle trouble keeps Danny Cullip out of training, while Albion contemplate another club versus country clash on November 10.
The visit of Brian Horton's Port Vale coincides with England's friendly against Sweden at Old Trafford. Chief executive Martin Perry says: "I am not terribly keen on changing it now."
WEDNESDAY: Our sister paper The Argus breaks the news Albion fans were dreading.
Adams is on his way to Leicester as assistant to his close friend Dave Bassett.
Adams gets a contract with The Foxes until June 2004, the Seagulls around £300,000 in compensation.
Asked if Bobby Zamora will follow him to Filbert Street, Adams declares: "Harry (Bassett) will make the decisions on that. I have said many times before Brighton are a club that would have to listen to offers if any offers come in that were acceptable."
The reserves draw 2-2 at Bournemouth.
THURSDAY: The Argus exclusively reveals that former Leicester boss Peter Taylor is the early frontrunner to be the Seagulls' next manager.
Chairman Dick Knight says: "They must have some experience, an ability and willingness to work with an existing squad of strong players and ideally some success already."
Adams admits: "I'm devastated to go, because it is the best set of players I have ever worked with.
"I have never said this publicly before, but I think the play-offs or automatic promotion is not out of reach."
Albion unveil detailed plans for their new stadium.
FRIDAY: Albion chairman Dick Knight reveals he has already been contacted by "big names" interested in the manager's job and cements Peter Taylor's claims as a top candidate by declaring he wants Micky Adams' successor to "bring on youth".
