It is a terrible disgrace that it is left to the generosity of the public to raise funds to build hospices, care units and places such as the Nigel Porter Breast Care Unit at the Royal Sussex County Hospital and then to find out the people in higher places think they know best and want to move it to Haywards Heath.
My husband and I used to run a club in Newhaven. Its members raised a lot of money for the unit and were pleased to see it up and running, offering help and hope to people.
Its place is in East Sussex, not Haywards Heath, and the move must not be allowed to happen.
