I have just returned from a delightful holiday in Blackpool and can confirm all the points made by B Jenkins.
I found a total absence of graffiti and a considerable reduction in the cost of dining.
A good lunch may be enjoyed for £3, drinks are cheaper and a scenic tram-ride to Fleetwood brings you to the largest open-air and partly-covered market in Great Britain.
Huge savings can be made on household consumables, clothing, footwear and CDs, all of the best quality.
The service in the shops is welcoming and friendly.
I have travelled all over the UK and to many holiday destinations abroad. None compares with Blackpool.
Were I younger and free to do so, I would move there and spend the autumn of my life in total contentment.
