Bognor boss Jack Pearce gave his troops the biggest rollicking of their Ryman League division one campaign after they conceded a stoppage time equaliser.
Table-topping Bognor came from behind twice to hold a 3-2 advantage over third placed Walton andHersham but, with seconds remaining, substitute Garfield Blackman salvaged a point for the Surrey side.
The equaliser left Pearce fuming. He could be heard turning the air blue inside the changing room for a quarter of an hour after the game.
Former England youth international midfielder Jamie Howell, 24, made one and scored one of Bognor's goals.
He admitted: "I think he's right to be cross. He has every reason to be unhappy but all the players are disappointed as well. We just have to re-group on Tuesday for training and go from there.
"I was pleased with my performance but to be honest I'm very disappointed with the final result. We have had two games here in a week and only got two points. We wanted six and I think we probably should have had them."
With 15 minutes left it appeared the Rocks would be more then happy with a point. They trailed 2-1 and their unbeaten record was on the line.
The visitors opened the scoring in the 12th minute as Walton's outstanding player Bas Savage tricked his way down the left and crossed for the unmarked David Cory to shoot in.
Bognor levelled it five minutes before the break when leftback Jodey Rowland's shot skidded off the wet turf through the hands of Luke Gerrard in the visitors' goal.
But Walton regained the lead in the 64th minute as Savage waltzed round the home defence to bury a low shot into the corner.
The home team then had to wait until 12 minutes from the end to make it 2-2 when Howell picked out Richard Hudson who blasted the ball high into the net.
Bognor sensationally snatched the lead with five minutes remaining. Matt Russell won the ball on the right and crossed to Howell who slotted in a low effort into the corner.
Pearce and the entire Bognor dugout ended up on the pitch punching the air but their joy was shortlived. In injury time, Savage fed Blackman who won a challenge with Craig Stoner in the Rocks' goal and slotted the ball into the empty net.
Pearce felt the ball should have been whacked out of the ground long before it fell to the Walton sub.
He said: "I advocate passing the ball but there are certain occasions when you have to do the right things at the right time. Savage caused us problems all afternoon and with a minute to go when he received the ball on the midway line he should have been nailed.
"We didn't play well but what is most disappointing is that we showed great desire to get back into the game and when we went 3-2 up, we basically gave it away.
"We need to be more aggresive to win football matches. We can't be nice people to win games. I'm not talking about kicking people, I'm talking about being aggressive and going for the ball.
"It was a good game of football. I thought they did very well and their forward line is as good as any I've seen in our division. Really it was a question of which defence could hold up and, once, we got our noses in front, it was disappointing not to win."
Bognor's 13-goal hotshot Matt Russell failed to score for the first time in ten games. Pearce said: "Matt isn't going to score every week but at least he worked hard to create the third goal which should have been the winner."
