Eastbourne Borough cruised into the third round of the Sussex Senior Cup with a 2-0 win against St Leonards in last night's replay at Priory Lane.
The first half saw both teams have chances, with Borough having the better.
Daren Pearce scored the only goal of the half from the penalty spot after Matt Allen was brought down by David Chatwin on 13 minutes.
Allen should have scored at least two more goals before the break, but he wasted great opportunities.
St Leonards dominated the early stages of the second half before Matt Crabb lit up the match with a brilliant goal on 60 minutes. He held off John Crumplin before finding into the roof of the net from a tight angle.
Dominic Barclay had Saints' best chance of the night but Dean Lightwood was more than equal to the shot.
Pearce and Ben Austin both went close towards the end but Borough were more than happy with the 2-0 win in front of a crowd of 284.
Borough now play either Burgess Hill or Shoreham in the next round.
In division two of the Rich City County League, Broadbridge Heath enjoyed a 3-1 victory at Lancing in front of a crowd of 65.
Paul Young netted twice for Heath to take his tally to the season to 14.
It was Young who opened the scoring after only two minutes but Lancing levelled in the 27th minute through Martin Gray.
Young restored the visitors' advantage on the stroke of half time and John Walters sealed victory for Heath with a third goal just past the hour mark.
