Rice, who is helping coach Albion Ladies, claims he was happy to take a pay cut but was forced out by some club directors.
He said: "They want me out because I will stick up for the players.
"If things stay the same it will bleed the club dry. There doesn't seem to be the enthusiasm from some people to get into the premier division, which I know is what Sammy and some board members want.
Skipper Mark Burt has also been in talks with the club but said: "That is all sorted now. I just want to get on with the football."
Rice has been charged with assault after the melee which led to him being sent off in the cup defeat at Thame, who visit Woodside tomorrow.

Bognor will be on guard against a shock as they visit winless Bromley. Jay Pickering is banned so David Wright is likely to continue at the back. Wright said: "I enjoy it back there but I still get itchy to go forward."
Simon Funnell and Jodey Rowland have knocks.
Horsham boss John Maggs has not given up hope of signing Wade Falana or Mark Hynes, both of whom have been listed by Carshalton. Martin Lempriere (hamstring) misses the division two trip to Metropolitan Police.
Hastings Town are sweating on the fitness of goalkeeper Dave King ahead of their game against Grantham Town in the eastern division of the Dr Martens League tomorrow.
King injured his calf in Tuesday's goalless draw at Bashley and is a doubt for tomorrow's game at the Pilot Field. Striker Paul Jones is carrying a groin injury but is expected to play.
