Eastbourne College coach Jenny Lawes helped her team lift the Sussex Schoolsgirls under-14s title on their debut in the event - with sweets.
She handed out Skittles and Starburst to her teammates at Christ's Hospital, Horsham.
Lawes said: "I wanted the sweets to give them extra strength on what was a marathon day.
"It was a superb all-round performance, a real team-effort although special mention should be made of the joint captains, Harriet Roe and Becky Stewart."
The College's success in county events this season has clearly been aided by confectionery.
The under-18s were given jelly babies by captain Jane Lyons as they clinched their recent success.
Roe was their top scorer finding the net as her side defeated Burgess Hill 2-0, Hove Park 4-0, Brighton 1-0 and Oathall 4-0 in their pool in which they drew 1-1 with the hosts, with Alex Flavell on the mark, and 0-0 with Bexhill.
Also on target were Ellie Furber, Rosanna Dean, Becky Stewart and Zoe Morton.
