Brighton maintained the pressure on Kent/Sussex Regional League leaders Holcombe with a 6-0 drubbing of Folkestone.
With five games played, Brighton remain a point behind the unbeaten table toppers.
Mohamed Nagey made it nine goals in five games with a brace as Brighton cruised to victory.
Fellow Egyptian international Mohamed Samak was also on target along with Dave Delea, Graham Pruce and Richard Love.
Brighton skipper Carlo Missirian said: "The only criticism is that we are not putting many chances away. The goals we scored did not reflect the amount of chances we had. But it was a very good performance and we were strong defensively."
Brighton's next test is away to a useful Horsham side this Saturday.
Horsham gave a good account of themselves as they lost 4-1 to Holcombe and Missirian knows it will be a real test.
He said: "They were unlucky not to beat us in the cup semi-final last year. I really rate them as a team and it will be a very difficult game."
Skipper Mark Ansell scored Horsham's consolation but he knows his side should have done better.
Ansell said: "Everyone was really gutted because we knew we could have beaten them. But they are probably the best side we will come up against."
Horsham had a number of chances in the first half which they did not convert.
Ian Brown fired wide and Ansell just failed to get on the end of a good cross.
Crawley lost 1-0 to a well-drilled Mid Sussex side.
The game started at a frantic pace with both teams holding strong but it was Mids who broke the deadlock when Andy Green scored from a short corner.
Mids wasted further chances in the first half and then came up against a more positive Crawley side in the second half.
Despite this, Crawley's man-of-the-match, goalkeeper Gary Thornton, was forced into some great saves while fellow defender Chris Peach made some fine tackles.
Crawley may have stolen an equaliser in the last minute when a chance fell to captain Terry Higgs but his low shot was saved.
Mids' Phil Middleton said: "We didn't play fantastically well but the important thing is we got three points."
Worthing suffered a disappointing 5-2 defeat away to Blackheath.
After falling two goals behind, Worthing finally got on the scoresheet from a short corner when a well-worked switch found Matt Ansell who scored his first goal for the club.
Worthing keeper Daniel Godsmark kept it at 2-1 at half time thanks to a penalty save.
The hosts scored a third from a short corner in a second half which saw Worthing duo Rex Fuller and David Clayton sent off.
Worthing again reduced the deficit when skipper Simon Holloway intercepted one of the Blackheath players and pulled the ball back for a tap-in for Mark Duncan.
But Blackheath scored a disputed fourth goal before wrapping up victory with a fifth.
THE county's top two sides are in HA Cup action on Sunday.
Lewes entertain Premier Division side Surbiton while East Grinstead are at home to Old Georgians.
Both also have National League games on Saturday with Lewes at Firebrands in division one, while East Grinstead entertain Peterborough in division two.
