I was astounded to see the following information advertised (The Argus, October 27, Page 58): "The Community Club Withdean 2000 vs AFC Wallingford - The biggest game in Sussex this weekend."
This, the "biggest game in Sussex", was due to take place at Horsham Football Club.
And to think I had unwittingly intended to visit Withdean Stadium, where Brighton and Hove Albion were playing Colchester.
Little did I know of the gargantuan festival of sport at Horsham that must have surely eclipsed this event.
It must be true because it said so, quite clearly, in the advertisement.
Therefore I shall immediately demand a refund from the Albion, who clearly misled me as to their might and importance in expecting me to attend such a piffling fixture instead. Pshaw!
