Bobby Zamora and Michel Kuipers have been warned to expect some good-natured baiting from Bristol City fans on Saturday.
The stars of Albion's last League win against Colchester both joined the Seagulls from Bristol Rovers, City's bitter rivals.
Danny Wilson, the City boss and former Albion midfielder, joked: "They will need some ear-plugs, but it won't be anything nasty and all in good fun. Nobody gets away with it from Rovers or City fans."
Zamora has scored in each of Albion's last three away League games, while Kuipers will be bidding for a third clean sheet out of four.
"Zamora has that gift for scoring goals and that is why he is rated so highly," Wilson said. "A lot of players in the lower Leagues are not given a chance higher up, but Kevin Phillips has proved it can be done.
"I am sure somewhere along the line someone will take a gamble on him."
There is plenty at stake in Saturday's showdown. City are fourth, four points behind Albion, and Wilson is looking forward to opposing his old club as a manager for the first time.
"I had a fantastic time down there," he said. "It was a great three years which put me back on track after leaving Nottingham Forest. Alan Mullery and Chris Cattlin were brilliant for me.
"They have done fantastically well to get where they are. Micky Adams did a terrific job and the Board have to be congratulated.
"Peter Taylor must think it is a club going places and he is an excellent coach.
"It's a very tough League with not a great deal between the teams. Brighton will feel there is no reason why they can't go up.
"We want to pass the ball and I am sure they will as well, so it should be a tremendous game."
