On February 4, I lost my dad, John Millard, to cancer. Nobody knew he had it and we were all devastated.
So, in honour of my dad, I have organised a disco-buffet on Saturday, November 10, from 7pm to midnight, at the King Alfred leisure suite, which will include a raffle and lucky dips for the children.
All the money raised will go to the Cancer Research Campaign. Adult tickets are £4.50, children's £3.50.
My dad worked for the Brighton and Hove Bus and Coach Company for 20 years and if any of his colleague read this, he would have been proud if half of them turn up, as I would be too.
I'm also looking for professional dancers, be they children or adults, to perform their dance routines. If anyone can help with raffle prizes or anything else, please contact me or call 01273 381685.
