Over the years, I have ignored Councillor Mike Willson's many letters to The Argus. This time, he has gone too far (Letter, October 23).
He talks of chaos. This is a Labour ploy to undermine a council he said the same of last year under the old committee system. In fact, his new leader is, at the same time, threatening chaos if the Labour group does not get its way.
They both fail to understand how democracy works. There are 12 Labour councillors on Adur District Council and 20 Conservative Independent Alliance (CIA). This means the CIA does not have to take any notice of what they say. They can huff and puff as much as they like - it is up to the CIA what happens.
Finally, and the main reason for my letter, he talks of bringing the council into disrepute. I invite the voters of Adur to come to our next full council meeting on November 13 to see for themselves the way some councillors act. They would never vote Labour again.
