People in a Crawley street who have spent years enduring troublesome neighbours should soon find their suffering is at an end.
Antisocial orders have been placed by a court on Gordon Clarke and his son, Aaron.
All sorts of problems were caused by these two, ranging from noise and nuisance to abusive behaviour.
The orders mean if the couple repeat their behaviour, they could be subject to sentences of up to five years.
Few of these orders have so far been imposed in Sussex but they should now be used far more widely.
For far too long, disruptive people have been allowed to cause misery to many others nearby because councils lacked the powers to deal with them.
