Oft weak, heavy-laden and weary so with shopping,
Kid in pushchair and others
in tow, which leaves you
You will curse and cuss at absence of bus, soon to be not on hopping.
Dyke Road Drive is one hell of a climb.
With my "bag for life", I've done it many a time.
No, not "her indoors", of which there ain't.
At the top I almost faint - the weight of shopping leaves me, too, flopping.
Oh, please, for Louise's sake, don't off route the 35 bus take.
Nor for the sake of OAP, one of which I soon shall be.
And their plight to ease.
"Hold very tight", fair maiden, please.
