Three Sussex sides will go into today's draw for the last 32 of the FA Carlsberg Vase.
County League sides Selsey and Burgess Hill both recorded fine wins to join Lewes in the third round.
Selsey went through 2-0 against Concord Rangers thanks to second-half goals from Duncan Terry and Paul Lee.
Terry headed home the first on 70 minutes after Barry Rishman flicked on a Jon Bines cross and Lee tucked away the second from the penalty spot in the closing stages after Ian Ford had been brought down.
Manager Danny Hinshelwood said: "We had five or six people out and it showed we have strength in depth. I am not sure whether a Selsey side has got this far before so we are delighted to be in the last 32."
Burgess Hill were impressive 3-0 winners at Corinthian Casuals despite a floodlight failure which saw the game finish in near darkness.
Goals from Ashley Carr, Phil Churchill and a corker from Steve Harper, who begins a month's trial at Millwall today, took the Hillians through.
Assistant boss Danny Bloor said: "We missed a lot of chances and it could have been more.
"It finished in near pitch black. To the referee's credit, though, he carried the game on and it was superb."
Chichester were not so complimentary about the referee after they crashed out 4-2 at home to Hallen.
Home defender Toby Champion was sent off after only two minutes for a second bookable offence and Chi boss Adie Girdler believes that turned the game.
Girdler said: "Referees should count to ten before they make these decisions. It ruined a good cup tie."
Jamie Laidlaw drew ten-man Chi level on 44 minutes and later netted a second to pull the score back to 3-2.
Lancing boss Andy Gander was disappointed as his side failed to capitalise on a good opening before going on to lose 4-2 at home to Stotfold.
Clive Towell scored a sixth-minute opener and Neil Richardson could have made it 2-0. Stotfold levelled five minutes before half-time only for Ryan Ford to restore the home side's lead early in the second half.
But a disputed penalty brought Hallen level again and they then scored twice in quick succession to seal victory.
Gander said: "It makes it more disappointing because we could have beaten them. If we had got a second goal after our initial good period I think we would have won."
Two first-half blunders cost Sidley United as they went out 2-1 at home to Dereham Town. Chris Scott pulled a goal back in the second half and Sidley hit the post three minutes.
Joint-boss Peter Heritage said: "We slaughtered them but we gave away two very sloppy goals in the first half. They were the only two chances they had.
"With respect to Dereham, if we were going to lose to a side, we would have liked to lose to a better side than them."
Ringmer lost 4-2 at Banstead Athletic where a first-half penalty, awarded for handball against Stuart Corlett, sent the home side on their way.
Damion Dobbyn and Shaun Grice netted for Ringmer.
Lewes came from behind to defeat Hornchurch 3-1 at The Dripping Pan.
Several chances fell to Lewes in the opening period including a shot from Dominic Shepherd which hit the bar.
Hornchurch took the lead through a Chris Wolff penalty after Mark McCallum was adjudged to have impeded Craig Cripps.
Lewes equalised before the interval when a low-angled shot from Shepherd beat goalkeeper Paul Wood.
They took the lead just 90 seconds after the restart when the speed of Sam Francis took him clear of the visiting defence and he slid the ball home.
Francis made the game safe ten minutes from time after good work by Chris Dicker.
