I was appalled at the lack of organisation at Brighton cenotaph on Sunday for the Remembrance Service.
If it wasn't such a serious occasion, it could have been funny.
The sound system was still being installed at 10.45am.
Then, after proceedings had started, they decided to put up a platform for the Mayor and colleagues to stand on to watch the final march-past.
The Salvation Army band had to climb over the railings. A photographer was darting around all over the place during the two-minutes silence.
The master of ceremonies sounded as if he was there under duress, complaining and making comments within the range of the microphone.
Did no one think to give him a list of wreath-bearers?
He certainly didn't seem to know who was there and who wasn't or what the order should have been.
The purpose of this occasion was almost completely overlooked - in fact, it was a farce.
Finally, it would be nice if a few more hymn sheets could have been distributed to the ordinary members of the public, many of whom would have been pleased to join in all the verses of the hymns.
