The police hunt for a thug who left a cleaner fighting for life will be featured on national TV.
A crew from the BBC's Crimewatch show will film at the scene of the attack in Brighton for a broadcast later this month.
Philip Gray, 54, is improving in the city's Royal Sussex County Hospital but is still seriously ill.
Mr Gray was battered about the head and suffered a fractured skull. Police have been studying CCTV footage and conducting street interviews.
They are keen to speak to anyone who was in The Lanes between 6.15pm and 7.15pm on the morning of Monday October 1, the day after a large demonstration during the Labour Party conference.
Mr Gray, a popular character in the area, has worked for The Lanes Traders' Association for more than 20 years.
Traders and Sussex Police have contributed to a £15,000 reward for information.
Anyone who can help should call the Operation Ignition incident room on 0845 6070999.
