Organisers of a Christmas party have guaranteed there will be snow at the event.
A luxury, themed marquee complete with its own cable car will be used to create a unique seasonal atmosphere to attract up to 800 guests at a time at the showground in Hickstead.
Organiser Philip Bunn said "In one part of the marquee, we will be creating the atmosphere of a small village in the Alps.
"In another, there is an amazing fire effect. Couple it all together with fine food and top entertainment and we can guarantee a party to remember."
Guests will enter along a forest walkway over ice and through falling snow to reach the dining area. Mr Bunn said: "It is no exaggeration to say that Sussex has never seen anything like this before. The reception area even has its own cable car."
After the party season is over, the same marquee, minus the snow and ice, will be used to house the first Hickstead Equine Event from January 11 to 13.
It will feature hundreds of exhibitors and help and advice from eventing, showjumping and dressage stars, including double European eventing champion Pippa Funnell, team trainer Yogi Breisner and new team manager Derek Ricketts.
