A Mid Sussex shop has stopped selling alcohol to help police curb under-age drinking.
The 24-hour B2 store in Perrymount Road, Haywards Heath, took the decision because of a police operation to tackle the problem.
As part of Operation Sermon, officers have targeted the centre of town every weekend and confiscated alcohol from youngsters.
Police have been working with shops and off-licences asking them to be vigilant and check for identification if they doubt that customers are old enough to buy alcohol.
Police have also been targeting teenagers who buy alcohol for drinkers as young as 12.Officers said the main areas for under-age drinking were Clair Park and Victoria Park.
There have also been several incidents of antisocial behaviour near B2.
Store manager John Lord said: "We agreed that we would discontinue selling alcohol for the time being, until the problem was resolved.
"The police have had terrible difficulty in the area. It isn't just us - it's everyone. We have all had problems."
