Comedians Sandi Toksvig and Graham Norton will take part in a public discussion on gays and lesbians in the media.

It will be part of the Celebrating Diversity campaign being run this year in Brighton and Hove.

Brighton-based writer and broadcaster Simon Fanshawe will chair a debate at Hove Town Hall.

The subject is whether the climate has changed on TV, radio and in books for gay people and lesbians.

It is one of a series of debates organised by Celebrating Diversity. They are sponsored by the Royal Bank of Scot-land.

Simon Fanshawe, who chairs the Celebrating Diversity supporters' group, said: "This is an important subject and we have decided that we can tackle it with sharp tongues as well as sharp brains.

"It will be an entertaining way of discussing an issue of supreme importance to lesbians and gays - prejudice against us."

The debate is on November 29 at 6.30pm.
