Police marked their biggest drugs bust of the year in a city by warning pushers to expect door knocks throughout Christmas.
Heroin and crack cocaine, with a street value of more than £50,000, were found hidden in two adjoining flats in Brighton.
Four men and a woman were still helping with police inquiries last night.
Police warned this was the start of a big push on dealers.
Chief Inspector Pete Mills said: "They won't be able to relax by the fireside watching the telly.
"We will be working through the holiday, even Christmas Day, and nothing will give me greater pleasure than seeing pushers enjoying their turkey dinners supplied by Her Majesty's Prison Service. We have carried out a number of successful drugs operations over the past few months but this was by far the biggest in terms of amounts seized.
"There will be more in the next few days and throughout the festive season."
