Horsham's winning run finally came to an end as they were held to a goalless draw by Hemel Hempstead in Division Two.
Visiting goalkeeper Mark Whittamore did well to push away a low drive from Lee Carney after 11 minutes as the home side began brightly.
But their forwards were guilty of negligence after Carney cut past two defenders in the 17th minute and played the ball across the six yard box, only to see three of his team-mates fail to find the final touch.
Whittamore again reacted sharply to push away Steve Payne's angled drive and John Kirby glanced a header wide after Payne had carved out the opening.
Horsham worked harder in the second half, but chances were few and far between. Payne had the best of them when Payne fired wastefully wide after Stuart Hardy's long pass had sent him clear on goal.
Horsham boss John Maggs said: "We didn't have our normal sparkle,"
