Two people died in Sussex road accidents during the weekend.
The driver of an Audi A4 estate car was killed after losing control of his vehicle, which rolled into a field.
In a separate incident an 81-year-old died crossing the road.
The Audi driver, in his 40s, was travelling along Wartling Road, Pevensey, when his car veered off the road on a right-hand bend and overturned.
The driver was from the Eastbourne area and police were withholding his name until relatives had been informed.
Eastbourne police are anxious to speak to anyone who witnessed Friday's crash, near the Pevensey roundabout, particularly the driver of a white Ford Escort who was travelling south along Wartling Road at around 6.30pm.
Meanwhile, officers are investigating after an 81-year-old man stepped into the path of a car while crossing the A270 Old Shoreham Road in Portslade shortly before 5pm on Saturday.
The victim suffered serious injuries and died before he reached hospital.
