The meanest thieves of the year have been operating in the grounds of Rudyard Kipling School in Woodingdean.
They broke into a shed at the Kipling Lions Pre-School and stole every one of the 63 presents destined for the children.
These vandals must have known they were presents because each gift had been individually wrapped.
What's more, the vandals damaged the shed, which is new, and trashed a nearby garden.
Luckily, staff were able to rush out to the shops and ensure each child received a present after all.
Local yobs probably thought they were being big through their orgy of theft and vandalism. They should be made to look small.
If they are ever caught and given community service, part of that should be spent at the school so they can make amends for their crime.
