Police are investigating a road accident which resulted in the death of a pedestrian.
One man died and another was seriously injured after a Ford Ranger pick-up truck was involved in a smash-up with two pedestrians.
The vehicle was travelling south-west on the A268 towards Four Oaks when the accident happened at around 2pm on Friday afternoon.
The road was closed for six hours as rescue work took place and debris was cleared.
The driver of the truck, a man in his late twenties, was not believed to have been injured. The injured pedestrian, believed to have been in his sixties, is recovering at the Conquest Hospital in Hastings.
