A disabled woman was dragged along a pavement by a bag snatcher.

He followed her from a 5B bus into Barnet Way, Hove, at 10pm on Saturday and made a grab for her bag.

The victim held on and struggled, trying to hit the man with her walking aid, and was pulled along the ground for several feet.

He eventually fled with the bag, containing a small amount of cash and personal belongings.

The woman suffered minor bruising and was badly shaken.

The offender is 20 to 23, 5ft 4in, and wore a three-quarter-length leather jacket, baseball cap and a scarf round his face.
