After hearing the kick-off times for the World cup next June, I was disappointed to hear two of England's qualifying games start before pub opening times.
I am not an alcoholic but I feel it is always more enjoyable to watch football with a crowd of people who are all enjoying the game.
It is for this reason, I think there should be a big screen on the beach for the duration of the World Cup next June.
We have had success in the past with screens for both films and last summer The Ashes Test.
As it is unlikely pubs will be open at around 6.30am or 7.30am in the morning, a big screen is the perfect solution for people who don't want to watch the football on their own at home in front of small TVs.
I hope the council or a local business is reading this and will take up this idea.
Next June, let's make Brighton a place the rest of the country looks at with jealousy once again.
