A man has been arrested and released on police bail in connection with a gangland-style shooting in Crawley.
Simon Sawyer, 30, from Crawley, was shot in the chest in Ivory Walk, Bewbush, almost three weeks ago in an attack police believe could be linked to drugs.
He was taken to East Surrey Hospital and underwent emergency surgery for a chest wound.
Mr Sawyer remains in hospital, although his condition is continuing to improve and he has been helping police to piece together what happened on December 11 at about 8.25pm.
A local man was arrested and questioned at Crawley police station.
He was released on bail without charge, pending further inquiries.
