I was interested to read Mr Feldman's letter (Letters, December 21).
I did not see Mr Bolingbroke's correspondance to which he refers but, perhaps, it was not the best advice to start by reading a book such as Proverbs, which requires a good grounding in the history of time in order to appreciate its relevance.
May I suggest the Gospel of Luke? Then find a church which continues to teach His message today.
May you find the answers you have begun to seek.
