The Argus Appeal has excelled itself in its 44th year by raising more money than ever for good causes.
Through events such as celebrities shaving their heads and Santa taking up residence at a giant sweet-festooned Gingerbread House, organisers have stretched the public's imagination.
A total of £80,000 was raised this year and will help groups and needy individuals such as 15-year-old Adam Barnard from Portslade.
A special bike is being made for Adam, who has a rare emotional disability, so he can go on cycling trips with his sister.
Without the kind-hearted generosity of the people of Sussex, people like Adam would be further away from grasping their dreams.
The charity relies on every penny you give and guarantees every penny goes straight to the needy.
