Whatever happened to the old Christmas spirit when we used to get together and prepare for the anniversary of that wonderful morning when the one who made all this possible was born?
Happy days, where have they gone? Children singing Christmas carols at the door.
Waking up to see the magic of the Christmas tree all aglow with the fairy at the top of the tree, shining as if she had just flown there, and the excitement of sorting out the presents.
Of course, it was a surprise. We never knew what we were getting.
That was the magic of Christmas. Putting our eager fingers down into the toes of the stocking to find all sorts of goodies.
I remember Christmas when everyone was happy and thankful for what they received.
