Junior England snooker international Jimmy Robertson has moved into second place in the Under-18 Golden Waistcoat Grand Prix.
The Bexhill 15-year-old won his second consecutive tournament at Leicester last weekend.
Robertson, who is sponsored by the Q-ball club, emerged in top spot from his round-robin group by winning three out of his four matches including breaks of 106, 86, 62, 56 and 44.
This set up a last 16 tie against last month's beaten finalist, Ian Burns from Preston.
Robertson came through this match 2-1 with a 51 break to meet Romford's Matt Selt.
Robertson went 2-0 up with breaks of 59 and 69 but Selt levelled at 2-2 only for the Sussex youngster to clinch the decider with a 32 break.
The semi-final saw Clacton's Alex Davies disposed of 3-0 with Robertson hitting top form with breaks of 44, 59 and 73.
The final was a something of an anti-climax as Jimmy faced in-form and current Willie Thorne Grand Prix final champion Jamie O'Neill from Wellingborough.
Though there were no significant breaks, the Q-Ball youngster trailed 2-1 before fluking the pink in the fourth frame and then winning the decider on the colours to take the match 3-2 and the £200 winner's prize.
The top 24 in the ranking league after ten events play in the grand final at Northampton in July with £1,000 prize money up for grabs.
Eight-year-old Liam Harper, from Rye, was also in good form at Leicester.
Harper, the youngest player on the Tour, beat 16-year-old Steve Williams (Burnley) 3-0 and 15-year-old Reece Westwood (Nottingham) by the same scoreline.
He then edged out Robert White, 15, from Cardiff, 2-1 before losing 2-0 to Alex Davies, 16, from Derby.
