Two goals from teenage striker Lee Newman saw Lewes beat visitors Leyton Pennant to go top of division two on a pitch made treacherous by melting snow.
Newman has now hit seven goals in four games.
He said: "Things seem to be going well at the moment."
The first half was tight with Lewes eventually scoring just two minutes before the interval when Julian Curnow fed an excellent pass to Ross Venables on the right flank and his low cross was turned in by Newman.
Leyton were unlucky not to go in on even terms as in first-half stoppage time Paul Tresadern saw his fierce shot strike the underside of the crossbar and bounce down on the line before being cleared to safety.
Tresadern turned villain on 56 minutes when he was dismissed for showing dissent to the linesman.
Lewes secured the victory on the hour when Dominic Shepherd fed Newman just inside the opponents half and the youngster weaved his way past Pennant defenders before clinically beating Craig Knox in the visitors' goal.
