On Saturday, December 22, the senior citizens of Whitehawk were invited by the teenage members of the Crew Club to a Christmas tea party.
We were given free transport to the Valley Social Centre. We were warmly welcomed by appropriately costumed boys and girls and assigned a waiter for the occasion. They escorted us to our tables and offered teaand coffee throughout the afternoon.
Entertainment was provided by a very talented singer/comedienne, plus keyboard player, resulting in a sing-along.
We were then served a delicious high tea, followed by two games of bingo. Very difficult choices were then made from the free raffle - a present for everyone.
It was real cool you guys. So, on behalf of all your guests, I would like to extend our thanks to all those concerned for a truly wonderful afternoon.
It shows all is not bad in Whitehawk.
