Victims of homophobic hate crime no longer have to go to the police station to report it.
The first fortnightly clinic for victims is being held tomorrow at a gay cafe-shop in Brighton, Scene 22, at 129 St James's Street.
It will be run by Sandra Dempster, liaison officer to the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community.
She works for the Brighton and Hove anti victimisation unit, based at Brighton police station.
Miss Dempster said: "Some victims are reluctant to come to a police station and this is a chance where they, or friends of victims, can talk on neutral ground."
She said people reporting incidents would not have to give their names and they could report matters on behalf of someone else.
Anyone wanting more information can call the unit on 01273 665800 or 01273 665502.
