High street chain The Perfume Shop celebrated an "outstanding" Christmas performance today.
The chain's like-for-like sales surged by 14%.
The figure, which strips out the impact of new store openings, was accompanied by a 27% lift in all sales at its 75 outlets.
Merchant Retail Group, which owns the specialist perfumery retailer, said the seven weeks to January 5 "confirmed its confidence in the future".
Like-for-like sales from The Perfume Shop are now up 13% during the 40-week period to last Saturday.
Chief executive Philip Newton said: "I worked in the stores myself for six weeks over Christmas and demand was as good as it has ever been."
