The report on the effects of midweek football on Brighton and Hove Athletics Club ("Matches cramp runners' training", The Argus, January 8) serves only to underline the need for a stadium in Brighton and Hove.
Other groups, such as the American footballers who train next to the London Road at Withdean and the footballers who play at the bottom of Wild Park, would benefit from better facilities.
The current proposals for a community stadium at Falmer offer a real opportunity to improve this situation.
All sports enthusiasts, of any discipline, should surely support the development.
