THE reaction of readers to Adam Trimingham's euro comments (The Argus, December 27) suggest Europhobes have little idea of what is happening in the real world.
A single European currency is only part of a launch-pad for the IMF and World Bank to have a world currency, possibly the dollar, with which sterling ought to combine instead of the euro.
Throughout the world, credit cards are gradually eliminating coinage, which is expensive to produce, transfer and keep safe.
Once there is a world currency, there is nothing to stop a one-world government similar to a federal Europe. Some British bank accounts are already being cheaply processed in China.
The suggestion British voting be put on the net to attract young voters brings to mind the recent malfunctioning US Presidential election.
