Hamish McKenzie, the steel spiral "artist" (January 14) should have made his snail life-size.
My artist's eye sees a downward spiral in the art world.
Perhaps it is a sign of the times and it will take another war effort to clear up Hamish's "art work" - the rusty curves on Brighton beach and Rommell's asparagus girders near my home in Saltdean.
After all, didn't everyone contribute iron for weaponry in the Second World War?
Maybe these "artists" can make their creative skills useful one day, since they are making the South Coast look like a battlefield anyway.
