The thought of the White Admiral pub in Lower Bevendean being turned into residential housing is both sad and predictable.
If it cannot reopen as a pub, surely this is a good opportunity for Lower Bevendean to have its own community centre?
Of course low-cost housing is needed in Brighton and Hove but surely not at the cost of a much-neglected and forgotten estate getting something it has been in need of since it was built?
The imagination of Brighton and Hove City Council has failed it yet again.
