Skipper Carlo Missirian claims tomorrow's Kent/Sussex Regional League showdown between Brighton and Holcombe is one of the biggest games in the club's history.

Brighton were knocked off top spot last Saturday after just a week at the summit following a 1-1 draw with Herne Bay.

Although there will be eight games left after tomorrow's clash, most people recognise that this match will decide the destiny of the title. For Brighton, that means they must win.

Missirian said: "It is one of the most important games this club has had for a long time. If we win we really do have a good chance of getting into the Premier League, which is where we want to be.

"We have worked really hard for the last two years to get in this position.

"There are eight games left afterwards but if we win it puts us in a great position. It is a massive game.

"I assure you, we won't be any better prepared. If they beat us it will be because they are better than us.

"When we lost to them earlier in the season we didn't get the rub of the green and we also had three defenders missing.

"They will meet a different team defensively this time. We are very strong defensively and I think that is the platform we need to help us to victory.

"We also want to do well for Bram (van Asselt). He is a brilliant coach and he has made such a difference for this club."

Brighton are still without Egyptian internationals Mohamed Nagey and Mohamed Samak but they will otherwise be at full strength.

The Egyptians, who are still awaiting visas to return to Britain, have scored 27 goals between them in 13 league games this year but Brighton have plenty of other goalscoring options. Push back at Stanley Deason School tomorrow is 12.30pm.

Horsham will be without Andrew Beer for the rest of the season and he has gone travelling around the world.

They are also without the unavailable Robin Simms for tomorrow's clash with Crawley but skipper Mark Ansell and Andy Down return to the squad.

Crawley have signed three more South Africans and will now have five in their squad for tomorrow's clash.

Forwards Anthony Basher and Jerome Starkey plus Ryan O'Neil, who can play in defence or midfield, have joined compratriots Steve Curd and Peter Waller who were signed over the Christmas period.

Skipper Simon Holloway returns for third bottom Worthing as they entertain second bottom Old Williamsonians. Dave Clayton can also play despite earlier worries he would be unavailable.

Mid Sussex have lost skipper Andy Green for the season after he broke an ankle in last Saturday's 1-1 draw at Worthing.

John Toomer takes over as skipper for tomorrow's match at home to Ashford, with James Buckeridge taking Green's place in the line-up.
