Richie Reynolds and Kevin Hotston have taken charge at Wick.

The former Pagham duo watched the closing stages of Wick's 1-0 home win over Sidley in the Senior Cup and were then unveiled as the new management team. They replace Carl Stabler who quit nine days ago.

Reynolds, sacked in controversial circumstances by Pagham earlier this season, declared: "This is one of the premier clubs in the County League and has been for a number of years.

"We feel we can take them forward but the priority is to keep them up this season."

Paddy Gibbs was Wick's match-winner as his cross-shot was fumbled into the net by Danny Poole under pressure from Adie Miles.

Skipper Gary Young, who took charge for just one match, joked: "I'm delighted to bow out with a 100 per cent record."

Young felt his side were fortunate to win. He said: "This was Carl's team and the players worked very hard for him. I thanked the lads for that afterwards."

Eastbourne United and Selsey drew 0-0 after extra time after what United boss Micky French described a "tremendous game".

Selsey had two good chances in extra time. Ian Ford wasted a one-on-one opportunity while Lee Stevens hit the post.

In division one of the County League, Nick Flint and Gil Taylor paired up in attack for the first time and scored all the goals as Horsham YMCA beat Arundel 4-0.

Taylor teed up Flint for the first of his hat-trick, which was completed by a penalty and a super solo strike.

Flint was the provider for Taylor to net with a crashing finish and crown a fine individual display.

Whitehawk came from behind three times to win 5-4 at Pagham.

The outstanding Dean Venton scored a hat-trick, including a late winner. Ollie Rowland and Karim Djelassi also netted for Hawks, who trailed 3-1.

Robbie Josephs netted twice for Pagham while Chris Rustell and an own goal completed their tally.

Peacehaven had Leighton Allen sent off as they lost 1-0 away to Redhill.

Allen was red-carded for a deliberate handball which earned Redhill a penalty. Glen Barlow missed it but later atoned himself by setting up Paul Smith for an 80th-minute winner.

Chichester also relied on a late winner as they beat Southwick 1-0.

The match-winner was Paul Thomas who buried an 85th-minute header to condemn his former Worthing manager, Wickers boss Sammy Donnelly, to defeat.

Another late winner came in the Sussex RUR Cup where Simon Colbran netted in the 90th minute as Rye United beat first division Sidlesham 2-1.

Shaun Loft had fired Rye into a tenth minute lead but Owen levelled six minutes from time.
