Residents were treated to a rare sight as a steam train made a trip to the coast through Mid Sussex.
The Stanier Black Five locomotive puffed its way through several journeys back and forth from Brighton to London during the annual Brighton Breezy event.
The train, run by the Mid Hants Railway, made two return journeys from the capital which went without a hitch.
Onlookers watched as the train emerged from Clayton Tunnel at Clayton Hill, Pyecombe, billowing out plumes of smoke.
