Wandering Billy the goat has found a new home and a new girlfriend after our lonely hearts appeal.
The eight-year-old runaway was spotted walking up the middle of Hayley Road, Lancing, by a mother and her young son as they walked to school in November.
Worthing and District Animal Rescue Service (Wadars) dispatched rescue officer Billy Elliott to fetch Billy.
Attempts were made to trace the goat's owners but no one came forward and we ran an appeal for a new home.
Ann Bell, of South Malling, Lewes, had been searching for a billy goat to keep her nanny goat, Nancy, company since the death of Nancy's partner last year.
Mrs Bell said: "I had advertised for a billy goat a couple of times to keep her company, then a friend told me about Billy.
"Nancy did give him a bit of hiding when Billy moved in but they've settled in now and seem really happy."
